about nplf

Books are only half the story. The Library is much more than a place to check out materials.

about us

history & mission

Founded in 1997, the Nashville Public Library Foundation expands what’s possible for the Library and thus for our community. By raising critical funds, as city dollars only go so far, the Foundation allows the Library to meet our community member’s evolving needs.

we invest in

our initiatives

By supporting the Nashville Public Library Foundation, you are building a more literate, imaginative and equitable Nashville. The Library has the historic trust and wide reach to create real change in our city, and with your support, you are directly fostering our entire community’s growth and development.
