Live Music is here: Courtyard Concerts are back!
NPL’s Courtyard Concert series returns with another stellar lineup of local artists performing R&B, jazz, folk, and alternative rock.
Join us at the Main Library in our Popular Materials area on the first floor on Tuesdays from 11:45 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., Sept. 1 – Oct. 13.
The Courtyard Concerts series is a fun and free lunchtime getaway. Come for an up-close music experience with an eclectic mix of local music, musicians, and songwriters.
About Alex Murphy Trio: Hailing from Chicago, Alex Murphy grew up in a family of musicians who emphasized musical exploration at an early age and strongly supported the growth of his passion for jazz. That passion led him into continued study at DePaul University under the tutelage of Ron Perrillo and Dana Hall. He was featured in a master class at the Chicago Symphony with piano great Bill Charlap and has been featured in the Chicago Jazz Festival and others. Most recently, Alex can be seen featured on NPR’s “Top Shelf” for a Tiny Desk submission that he helped produce with artist and Nashville native Brian Brown. Alex’s relationship with Brian has made a distinct voice for Alex’s artistry.
