For 15 years, the Nashville After Zone Alliance (NAZA) has transformed the lives of thousands of Nashville youth through out-of-school time learning. On Thursday, December 11, NAZA will celebrate its legacy at its 15th Anniversary at the Adventure Science Center and streaming live on YouTube. This milestone event will celebrate the accomplishments of NAZA over the past 15 years, honor champions of youth development, and recognize the impact of out-of-school time learning on the Nashville community.
Since 2010, NAZA has provided funding for over 40 non-profit youth development organizations, provided training for thousands of youth development professionals, and has enabled nearly 30,000 young people to access free, high-quality out-of-school time youth programming.
The 15th Anniversary will feature a reception showcasing NAZA partner organizations and main program featuring an awards ceremony for individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to NAZA. Awardees include longtime NAZA Leadership Councilmember, Councilwoman Burkley Allen; founding partners of NAZA, the Martha O’Bryan Center and YMCA; Allie Duke, the creator of NAZA’s Youth in Action! program; and NAZA youth leaders.
