Learn and Connect at NPL Branches Across the City

Nashville Public Library has always endeavored to extend beyond the walls of the library to serve the community. Despite the closure of Main, staff are dispersed throughout the system offering world-class, free programs and resources for all ages. From ACT prep and job support to wellness and the arts, there are still plenty of ways to learn and connect through the library.

This month features several standout opportunities. Great for all ages, the Puppet Truck will travel to multiple locations with Ellingtown, a performance that introduces audiences to jazz legend Duke Ellington through music and puppetry created by Wishing Chair Productions.

Teens can take part in ACT Prep with Oasis College Connection, held every Wednesday when school is in session. This free program supports students in grades 9-12 as they prepare for the ACT, offering guidance and strategies to build confidence and readiness for college entrance exams.

NPL is also bringing creative opportunities to branches for teens through Studio NPL, which offers hands-on learning experiences in art, music, and media. In addition, for children of all ages, NPL partners with Creative Kids Rock every third Saturday to host Creative Art Sessions at the Edgehill Library. These workshops are designed to inspire self-expression, build confidence, and support emotional wellness through creative activities such as painting, journaling, creative movement, and guided conversations.

Adults looking to strengthen their career skills can take advantage of Job Labs, which offer support with resumes, job searching, and workforce development. Meanwhile, Be Well at NPL promotes self-care and balance through wellness programming, including yoga classes at branches around the city with Small World Yoga.

NPL remains open and committed to serving Nashville at branches across the city. Your support continues to make programs like these possible. Find more opportunities at your local branch by visiting NPL’s event calendar.
