Honoring Amor Towles at the 2025 Literary Award Gala

The 2025 Nashville Public Library Literary Award Gala was a standout evening celebrating Amor Towles’ contributions to literature while raising critical funds for NPL. Event designer Lacey Fuson of Local Event Co. transformed Montgomery Bell Academy for the evening, welcoming guests into an art deco-inspired space with bold pops of red and pink. A jazz trio played as guests mingled, enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, and sipped cocktails before making their way to dinner and speeches.

Literary Award Weekend co-chairs Tiffany and Alfred Degrafinreid, Lee Pratt and Neil Krugman, and Lindsay and Tyson Moore helped bring the evening together seamlessly. During dinner and remarks, guests heard from honoree Amor Towles, who shared insights into his writing and creative process. The evening raised more than $900,000 to support Nashville Public Library programming.

ABOUT THE LITERARY AWARD GALA

Established in 2004, the Nashville Public Library Literary Award recognizes distinguished authors for their illustrious contributions to the world of books, literacy, and reading. Each year, we bring an outstanding individual to Nashville for a weekend-long celebration honoring their achievements while simultaneously raising critical funding in support of NPL’s essential education and literacy programs and resources.

Through the years, generous donors have raised millions of dollars for NPL, and community members have enjoyed thrilling and thought-provoking lectures with luminaries of the literary world.
