Featured Event, Special Event, Yearly

Picnic with the Library, the Nashville Public Library Foundation’s family event, raises critical funds to support life-changing children’s early literacy programming, like Nashville Public Library’s Wishing Chair Productions, story times, Puppet Trucks, mentorship programs, and early literacy initiatives reaching more than 100,000 children and their families.

On Sunday, April 28th, we will gather once again for the 9th annual Picnic with the Library! This year will be themed around The Wizard of Oz, so get ready to “follow the yellow brick road” down to the Main Library. Join co-chairs Caroline and Rascoe Dean, Tiffany and Alfred Degrafinreid, and Lindsay and Tyson Moore for an afternoon of family-friendly fun including a puppet show from Wishing Chair Productions, food, face painting, music, crafts, visits from favorite children’s book characters, cocktails, and more!
