NASHVILLE, Tenn. -The Next Chapter Society (NCS), Nashville Public Library Foundation’s (NPLF) emerging leaders and library supporters group, is thrilled to announce the return of Check Out Nashville, a week-long shopping and dining event taking place June 14-20, 2026. Throughout the week, Nashvillians are encouraged to shop and dine at participating local businesses that will donate a portion of their proceeds to support the critical work of the Nashville Public Library (NPL).

“We are thrilled to have NCS bring back Check Out Nashville for its second year. Partnering with local Nashville businesses to support NPL has been an incredible joy!” said Caitlin Reed, NPLF’s Director of Community Giving.

Shoppers are encouraged to pick up an official Check Out Nashville card, which doubles as a bookmark, at any participating location or their nearest library branch. Visitors can collect marks at each partner business they stop by throughout the week. Anyone who visits 5 or more partners will automatically qualify for a prize; the participant with the most total visits by the end of the week will take home the exclusive grand prize.

“We had a blast pulling together our inaugural event in 2025, and we’re excited to come back bigger and better in 2026. This event is such a wonderful way for locals to give back to the library by supporting businesses in their community. An irresistible win-win!” said Becca Zeglovitch, NCS Council Chair.

Check Out Nashville kicks off the week with a Sunday morning yoga class pop-up at Richland Park, a partnership with local bookseller Duckbill Bookshop, and an afternoon at the Nashville Sounds game. Tickets to the yoga class and Sounds game are available at https://nplf.org/checkoutnashville/.

The week closes with Currents & Cocktails, a cocktail challenge inspired by Uncharted Bourbon. The free, 21+ event is presented by the Ingram Distillery, which will donate a portion of the proceeds.

The full schedule of events, participating locations, and additional details can be found on NPLF’s website at: nplf.org/checkoutnashville
