Picnic with the Library, the Nashville Public Library Foundation’s family event, raises critical funds to support life-changing children’s early literacy programming, like Nashville Public Library’s Wishing Chair Productions, story times, Puppet Trucks, mentorship programs, and early literacy initiatives reaching more than 100,000 children and their families.
This year we gathered on Sunday, April 28th for the 9th annual Picnic with the Library! The Main Library Lobby was transformed into The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. The event offered an afternoon of family-friendly fun including story time from Wishing Chair Productions, food, face painting, DJ Lonnell’s Dance Party, crafts, visits from favorite children’s book characters, cocktails, and more!
