Become an NPL Ambassador

Libraries are essential. They are as integral to our quality of life and well-being as waste collection, water, and electricity. Adequately-funded neighborhood services build communities and provide the tools and platform for community growth and opportunity within them. Every Nashville community deserves access to adequately-funded libraries with facilities, resources, and staff to provide quality educational support, cultural programming, and economic and job development programs Nashvillians require. Nashville Public Library Foundation urges you to register as an NPL Ambassador to join other library supporters who connect elected officials with their local library branches to demonstrate the importance of NPL. You do not need experience. You simply need to be willing to share your own and/or your community's library stories. NPL Ambassadors will receive important email updates, invitations to meetings and events, and calls to action when the library needs your voice.

Volunteer at Your Local Branch

The Library is always looking for support with shelving, scanning and pulling books, as well as opportunities to help patrons. You can also join a Friends of the Library group by connecting with your branch location and branch manager.
