The Next Chapter Society presents A Novel Night, hosted in partnership with Juniper Green at the Old School Farm. Guests will enjoy a cocktail hour beginning at 6:30 p.m. with signature bites from these Nashville culinary favorites, followed by a followed by a showcase of talented local musicians from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. The event will include an online auction with items from local artists, experience packages, and more. Auction winners will be announced at 9:30 p.m., and the event will wrap up shortly afterwards.

The online auction is available to everyone - not only event attendees! The auction will open on Friday, February 24 at 8:00 a.m. and close at 9:00 p.m. the night of the event. Click here to register as a bidder and preview the items.

Chefs: Lisa Donovan is a James Beard award winning writer and chef who has redefined what it means to be a "Southern baker" as the pastry chef to some of the South's most influential chefs. Lisa is the author of Our Lady of Perpetual Hunger, the recipient of the LDEI’s MFK Fisher Prize for Excellence in 2021; Brian Lea and Leina Horii are the chefs behind Kisser, a Japanese restaurant in Nashville. Brian has worked for chefs such as Jose Andres and Sean Brock, while Leina has worked for chefs like Jordan Kahn and Ludo Lefebvre, and was also the sous chef of the Catbird Seat; Lokelani Alabanza’s professional culinary journey started in the United States, at the New England Culinary Institute. From there, her love of food has taken her around the world. Lokelani is excited to share her view of the world through Saturated, her own brand of plant-based, hemp-derived CBD ice cream; and Molly Martin started Juniper Green farm-to-table catering in 2017 with a vision to deliver a restaurant-level experience anywhere [rooftops, open fields, condemned buildings, you name it] people might want to gather. In 2021 Juniper Green took over operations of an historic schoolhouse venue set on picturesque farmland in Bells Bend, where she is excited to be hosting our special event!

MusiciansErin Rae is a Nashville-raised singer-songwriter whose debut album Putting On Airs earned her a nomination for Emerging Act of The Year at the 2019 Americana Music Awards. Erin has performed at mainstays like Newport Folk Festival, Red Rocks Amphitheater, sharing stages with Father John Misty, Hiss Golden Messenger, Jenny Lewis, Jason Isbell, and Iron & Wine.

Erin’s recently released album Lighten Up was recorded in the musically hallowed grounds of California’s Topanga Canyon. Gustavo Moradel was born in a small town in Honduras in April of 1992. His bilingual cover of John Lennon’s hit song, Imagine with Youtuber, Alex G., has reached over 8 million views. Gustavo is currently a part of the Nashville local music scene and has performed in important venues including: The BlueBird Cafe, Musicians Corner, Third Man Records Blue Room, Plaza Mariachi, among others. Paul McDonald is a Nashville artist who released his solo debut Modern Hearts in 2018, which introduced a more alternative rock approach and brought him widespread exposure through tours across the U.S., a record deal with Vacancy Records in the U.K , along with song placements in major motion pictures, commercials, with songwriting cuts on other major artist records. Lazy Jane is a country music duo delivering a unique, edgy take on the genre with its soaring melodies, fierce guitar playing, and impressive vocal blend. At the end of 2021, Lazy Jane released their debut Sounds Like You EP. The EP received high praise from DSPs and press, with two songs landing on editorial playlists and CMT adding the official music video for You’re Gonna Be A Problem to worldwide rotation.
